Dr. Zia is a Senior Research Scientist at Sustainable Communication Technologies Depatment, SINTEF Digital, Oslo, Norway.
He has worked on several national and international projects handling/leading different work packages.
He has been enlisted in the World’s Top 2% Scientists (both career-long & single-year-based), prepared by the Stanford University of USA and Elsevier BV.

Education
Dr. Zia obtained his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2004 with Gold Medal for his academic excellence.
He completed his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2011 from Kyung Hee University (KHU) of South Korea, with scholarships from Korean Government and KHU.
Competence and research areas
He has around 150 peer-reviewed research publications mostly related to data and machine learning. His google scholar citations are >4000.
He is a senior member of IEEE. He is in the editorial boards of reputed journals such as Plos One, IEEE Access, Sensors, and Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. He has also been a keynote speaker at different international conferences.
Dr. Zia has a good teaching experience with more than 20 computer science-related courses from bachelor degree to PhD.
