Elly is equipped with a fully electric, emission-free propulsion system, ensuring optimal working comfort for both the crew and the technology under testing. She is specifically designed to integrate new sensors and technologies, featuring available workstations for this purpose.
The boat is equipped with a comprehensive navigation system, including radar, echosounder, chartplotter, GNSS and AIS services. Additionally, vessel movements are measured with a high-frequency Motion Reference Unit (MRU) device. Data is broadcasted to shore in real-time and stored in a database for historical reference.
Elly will be a key player in the future of sustainable marine and maritime research. She is available for hire by the maritime community, for instance, for maritime demonstrations in various projects.
