With only seven years left to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) amidst an oncoming climate crisis, we need systematic changes and innovative partnership approaches that replace top-down models of development .
Such approaches need to ensure fairness and sustainability, especially for groups underrepresented in conventional sustainability transition models centered on technology development and adoption.
