Automated laboratory-scale IEX MGR plant
The plant consists of:
- 1 peristaltic pumps, 1 piping system with an automatic recipe control (Loading and regeneration take place one after the other)
- 1 x F- measurements
- 1 x P- measurements at the inlet
- 2 x pH, Cond. measurements, max. temperature 60 °C < 0,5 bar (at the inlet and outlet)
- Power connection 230 V Schuko plug
- Control cabinet with built-in computer and panel monitor
- separate cabinet with pH and conductivity amplifiers for easy calibration
- mounted on an aluminium frame on rollers, approx. 3000 x 700 x 1700 mm (W x D x H)
Suitable for automatically running experiments, for co-current and counter-current regeneration as well as for merry-goround and lead-lag operation.
The pipework is equipped with sufficient sampling valves. The entire plant is easy to transport and is operated via a freely programmable batch control for the automatic process.
Field of use:
Ion exchange (IX) technology is widely used for water purification, softening, demineralization, and contaminant removal across industries. Key application areas include industrial water treatment (power, electronics), food and beverage production (sugar, juice), pharmaceutical manufacturing, wastewater treatment, and chemical processing to separate and purify substances. Setup suitable for testing at TRL4 – 6 in combination with upstream and/or downstream technologies.
